It seems like people really want to know the life-changing magic of tidying up… I’m also surprised that The Prey, a book that really didn’t do it for me, got some attention this month… Happy to see that Marcus Sedgwick’s new book got some hits… And look at those three Quirk Books titles that squeaked into the top ten!

What I wish had gotten more love…

I got some comments on these reviews, but it seems like very few people besides those who commented actually read them (the reviews). These are two books that really surprised me with how good they were. Give them some love, would you? ;D

Here are the month’s Sunday Posts (weekly wrap-ups).

Bone Deep I actually included in my March 2015 wrap-up, so I totally don’t know why I repeated it here. But I think I got The Silver Witch right after I posted the March wrap-up, and that’s why I’m including it in this April wrap-up post. Just FYI. 😉

In other news…

An update on my 105 Reading Challenge (so far 62/105 books, or 59%!)

105 Challenge

The 105 Challenge is hosted by by Nori @ ReadWriteLove28.

I read 12 books this month, 9 of which I put toward the 105 Challenge… I finished a category: to read 3 Adult novels! (A Love Like Blood by Marcus Sedgwick was #3.) I inched forward in the Contemporary YA novels (Life Unaware) and Debuts from any year categories (The Fire Sermon and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up). I finally read a book that’s been sitting on my tbr pile for months (Snow Like Ashes) and continued/finished two series (Fairest and Invaded, respectively). I also counted two books toward the Fantasy books category (The Girl at Midnight and Dream a Little Dream).

I neglected a few categories this month… I meant to read an indie/self-published novel this month, but I didn’t get around to it… I still have yet to read any adult classics this year… I didn’t read any graphic novels, but I only need one more to finish the category, so I’m not too concerned with my lack of progress… While I read a book with dragons, I counted it toward the fantasy books category instead… And I haven’t reread any books since January…

  1. Great wrap-up! You definitely always put in a lot more effort than me 😛 Oh, and good job reading 12 books, that’s pretty impressive even if you didn’t get to read ALL of the TBR 😛 Every Last Word is one I wanted to read – I hope you enjoy it 🙂

  2. Haha I agree with Emily! I think I did, like, one of these monthly wrap up posts… and then never did it again. Because I’m too lazy. But hey — I personally think that weekly wrap ups suit me and my blog better. I LOVE reading these, though. Congrats on doing so well on your challenges! I think one of my favourite books I’ve read this month was THR SACRED LIES OF MINNOW BLY. So. Good.

  3. Mallory, you are amazing! Reading 12 books in a month and doing these great monthly wrap up posts! I have to ask though: how on earth do you have so much time to read? Are you just a really fast reader or are you somehow able to bend space and time? (btw, if you can then please teach me how!)

    1. Haha, I can’t bend space and time, unfortunately. And basically I stay up much later than I should reading. Then I wake up in the morning thinking, “Agh, I shouldn’t have stayed up until 2am finishing that book.” Followed by, “Naaaaah, totally worth it. I regret nothing.” 😉
