Top Ten Tuesday

Books On My Spring TBR List | Top Ten Tuesday [#8]

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Here are the eleven books I am most excited to read this spring. (Spring begins March 20th!) These are all review copies that I am so delighted to say I can’t wait to read. (Which I also, coincidentally, have to read soon. Eep.) Let’s jump right in, shall we? Books are listed by author last name.

The Top Ten (*cough* eleven):

EDIT: Click on a title to read my review.

  1. Undertow by Michael Buckley. 30,000 ocean-dwelling warriors take over Coney Island. I’m sold.
  2. Life Unaware by Cole Gibsen. A queen bee’s fall from grace. Basically, don’t put anything on the internet or in writing that you wouldn’t want to bite you in the butt later.
  3. Dream a Little Dream by Kerstin Gier. Bizarre dreams are actually true in real life. Which means real life must be pretty bizarre.
  4. Becoming Jinn by Lori Goldstein. Genies! Genies! Genies! The only other book I’ve read about genies was Jackson Pearce’s As You Wish, which I loved. I have high hopes for this book!
  5. The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey. Magic! New York City! A search for a Firebird! This sounds up my alley.
  6. The Fire Sermon by Francesca Haig. The Alphas make up the elite part of society, the Omegas are cast out and live in segregation. For every Alpha there is an Omega — because they are a pair of twins. My eyes are bugging already.
  7. Dare to Dream by Carys Jones. Stonehenge is falling down, one stone at a time. And when it completely crumbles, the world will end. It’s up to our heroine to save the day!
  8. The Fangirl’s Guide to the Galaxy by Sam Maggs. Are you a fangirl? How about a girl geek? This is a handbook for all your geek-culture needs!
  9. The Tragic Age by Stephen Metcalfe. This sounds like a unique coming-of-age novel about a boy going through “the tragic age”.
  10. Hold Me Like a Breath by Tiffany Schmidt. This girl’s family controls the black market for organ transplants. Already I can tell this book’s going to be a dark, grim ride.
  11. A Love Like Blood by Marcus Sedgwick. It’s Marcus Sedgwick’s first adult novel! I read his Midwinterblood last year and oh my goodness I fell in love with it. This book is going to be a beautiful, haunting, chilling, mysterious story, I can already tell — and under “genres” on Goodreads it mentions “vampires”. Perhaps this will be a vampire book I actually like?!
